Don’t brush off Chinese medicine as a senseless tradition. Chinese medicine has a history of thousands of years, which has been devoted to treating ailments holistically through natural and herbal remedies. It is a harsh practice at times, but you know what? The population is poor, any other alternatives to obtain the chemical would cost a lot of money, so what can they do? I want it to stop too but the root of the problem is poverty, not crazy Asians doing their wacko medical practice.

Chinese medicine is NOT medicine…it is just senseless traditions passed on to exploit others for profit. What you see is simply exploitation at the expense of innocent animals…it has nothing to do with medicine at all. Exploitation like this happens in America also…take a look at puppy mills, etc…but it needs to stop.
If this pisses you off then your goverment is growing more corn fields for alternative fuels. Which means it raises the price of grain all over the world. 50 million people died last year from the grain doubling in price. The world is not a pretty place and people are getting desperate due to the economy. Once this climate change treaty is signed are lives will even worse.
They do what they need to do to survive, stop calling Chinese people cruel just because they’re exploiting animals. Everyday we live off the wealth of the third nations, destroying their lives while we support the corporations that steals their resources. Lets focus on mending our own social system before we try to save bears. All that animal protection will come naturally when we deal with our own problems first.
